Edit: Nvm, apparently it’s affair related. I guess it’s just LiSA fans blowing it out of proportion making it seem like he murdered someone

not as bad as murder, but definitely really bad to cheat on your superstar wife just half year after marriage.

Although, judging from this post that ANN posted, it looks like as of right now, neither has confirmed or denied the allegations yet~

How reliable is Weekly Bunshun? I saw some tweets saying that it’s not a very reliable source?

As trustworthy as your usual third rate gossip tabloid.

On the contrary, they got it right when they reported Namikawa Daisuke’s cheating scandal.
Same goes with Okamoto Nobuhiko’s and Chihara Minori’s respective scandals.
While foreigners/overseas fans see Bunshun as “trashy”, they’re the ones breaking the news and paving the way for traditional media to talk about.

While Bunshun is being tabloid, their sources are actually quite formidable - like with the cases of Nobuhiko Okamoto and Daisuke Namikawa alleged cheating, for which they both take responsibility - or exposing the relationship of OnoKen and Hanazawa Kana way before their marriage.

They’ve got photos of them meeting up multiple times, at hotels and at his home on days when LiSA had concerts in other cities, and corroborating comments regarding those days from the woman’s own social media which was then apparently deleted within an hour of the writer confronting Suzuki about the whole thing.
If LiSA didn’t find out about it until it went public, it’s pretty crazy that she still chose to go through with her scheduled concerts last weekend…

In the case of covering those having affairs its understandable. Tailing people who have not yet gone public and revealing they are in a relationship is a bit low though (in the case of Hanazawa and Ono they publicly announced their marriage anyway so it wasn’t like they wouldn’t confirm it eventually). I guess the tabloid press in most countries exhibits similar behaviours though.
If the current story turns out to be true that is quite a shame (it’ll be better for Lisa to go her own way if she doesn’t want to give Suzuki a chance). I don’t understand why someone chooses to get married if they end up exhibiting this sort of behaviour within a year or so (if you like the bachelor lifestyle stay that way).

Bunshun is considered a tabloid, but they are usually pretty on-the-mark when it comes to things like this. From what I’ve heard, they’ve been trying to market themselves as “investigative journalism” don’t publish these kinds of articles unless they’re fairly sure they’re correct.
BBC published an article about them stating that since 2016, Japanese traditional media has turned to them for breaking news stories because Bunshun is one of the only publications with the guts to publish something that’s traditionally “risky.” They were the only ones in Japan who had the guts to publish the expose about Johnny Kitagawa and were the ones who broke the story about him abusing the male idols employed within his company. (For context, this is a big deal because Johnny is rumored to have a lot of connections and control in the entertainment industry due to the popularity of his idols, and almost no one wants to be on his bad side because of how powerful he is.)
Here are some things Bunshun exposed and turned out to be correct:
1. Daisuke Namikawa cheating on his wife
2. Nobuhiko Okamoto cheating on his wife
3. LiSA and Tatsuhisa Suzuki getting married (they published as early as May 2019 that they were engaged based on them being seen together wearing rings, about 7 months before they announced their marriage)
4. Ren Ozawa abusing his girlfriend
5. Kensho Ono and Kana Hanazawa dating

Minori Chihara’s scandal wasn’t reported by Bunshun; it was Flash that broke the story.
Also, because of this scandal “Bottom Half Free” trended in Japan as a reference to Suzuki’s role in Free!

I’m really disappointed in Tatsuhisa Suzuki (and pretty ironic considering the characters he voices). I don’t know what this means for his career because, unlike with Namikawa and Okamoto’s cheating scandals, LiSA is way more high-profile and famous than he is, and it already sounds like her many fans are raking him over the coals.
